Portion: 4 COOKIES
INGREDIENTS
- 6 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 8 tablespoon brown sugar (a bit too sweet, will try 7 next time)
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 2 egg yolk (too have egg yolk flavor, will try 1.5 next time)
- 12 tablespoon all purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- chocolate chips
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (for my microwave oven, grill 2 for 5 min)
- Microwave butter until melted
- In a small mixing bowl combine the butter and the sugars and mix well. Add the egg yolk, and vanilla extract and mix until smooth and homogenous.
- Add the flour, salt and baking soda. Mix until just combined and no streaks of flour remain. Last, fold in the chocolate. Do not over mix.
- Shape into 2 huge cookies or 4 medium size cookies and place on your prepared cookie sheet.
- Bake for 11 minutes*, or until the edges are just golden brown and the centers have puffed up but are still gooey. (For my microwave own grill 2 for 12min)
- Allow to cool before eating!

Chipless soft baked cookies
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melting
- 10 tbs brown sugar
- 1 tbs white sugar
- 1 egg (consider +1 egg yolk)
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon baking soda (mom said too strong flavored, reduce a bit)
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
Mix dry ingredient then add in the wet ingredient, mix but not too much.
Refrigerate the dough for 2 hr (probably can try less time since it was too hard)
Cut / shape the cookies, then put on greased pan. Preheat oven to 350 degree. (grilled 2 for 5min).
Bake at 350 degree for 10min (too burned today while bottom not that cooked, will try grill 2 for 5min then turn around for another 2 min).
